WHAT IS MYSTERY SHOPPING?

As a mystery shopper you will be asked to assess various establishments, posing as a perspective shopper or purchase a product or service across all service industries.

You will be asked to visit a specified store or restaurant or hotel and to act out a scenario while posing as a normal customer. The job as a mystery shopper involves assessing the store premises, staff presentation, staff performance, customer service, store tidiness and cleanliness, etc.

You may also be asked to check on merchandising or to aduit a store in some way. Each assignment is different, depending on the needs of the client. You pose as a normal shopper.

You will need to be able to report on various details of your visit or telephone call. How is this done? You write a report maybe in the form of a questionnaire depending on the assignment.
